Step 05 of 08
Run a structured buyer-seller call
The first real conversation with a qualified buyer is the most important call in the whole process. Most sellers walk in cold. We don't let you.
The structure that works — across thousands of deals — is four items, in order. Stick to it and the buyer leaves with what they came for. Wander, and you spend an hour answering questions that should have come in week three.
We send you the agenda the morning of the call, plus a one-page brief on the buyer (who they are, what they've said about capital, what they've signed). You drive the call. We're on the line if you want us.
What we deliver in this step
- 1. Seller background and motivation — who you are, why you built this, why you're selling
- 2. The born-and-raised story of the company — how it grew, what makes it work, why customers stay
- 3. Buyer asks questions — they've read the CIM; this is where they go deeper
- 4. Discuss next steps — site visit, additional diligence, timeline to LOI
